More than 1500 conscientious sparks tuned into NICEIC and ELECSA’s first ever live webinar.

The Wire, which was hosted by industry experts Tony Cable and Darren Staniforth, provided viewers with a free, informative update on the changes to the BS7671 wiring regulations.

Sarah King, events manager at NICEIC, commented: “The introduction of Amendment 3 brought about some big changes within the industry and it is important that all contractors are aware of the changes and what they might mean to them when carrying out electrical installation work.

“We have already spoken to more than 2000 contractors at our regional TechTalk shows earlier this year but we wanted to put on something else for those who could not make any of our events.

“This was the first time we put on a live webinar and with more than 1500 people watching we were overwhelmed at the response.

“It really goes to show how seriously NICEIC and ELECSA contractors take their work. These were contractors who took an hour off work to update their knowledge and ensure they work to the highest of standards.

“NICEIC and ELECSA are constantly looking at new ways to reach our customers. The webinar was just the latest method of doing this. We are committed to ensuring all our customers have access to the latest industry information and we hope all that tuned in found the webinar useful and beneficial to their business.”

More than 2, 500 people signed up for the webinar prior to it going live. A recording will be made available to everyone who signed up.
