CENTIEL’s PremiumTower nominated for FM Award

Dec 2, 2019 | UPS & Standby Power

Leading UPS manufacturer, CENTIEL UK, has announced its stand-alone UPS solution PremiumTower has been nominated for a Tomorrow’s FM product innovation award.

PremiumTower is a standalone three-phase, online double-conversion, transformerless UPS, designed to maximise efficiency within a minimum footprint and is available in a range of sizes from: 10 to 250kW.

Mike Elms, managing director, CENTIEL UK confirms: “Not every application requires a parallel redundant UPS solution and for these situations, the PremiumTower is perfect. It has the same Swiss build quality and innovative technology seen in our industry leading three phase true modular UPS CumulusPower, but comes as a standalone, lower cost, solution. The PremiumTower therefore provides an excellent UPS for small and medium data centres, comms rooms, IT networks and any mission-critical application which still demand a high quality, high efficiency UPS within the smallest possible footprint.

“When floor space is a premium, there is now no need to compromise on performance,” continues Elms. “PremiumTower provides up to 415kW per square meter and the option of various cabinet sizes with internal batteries further reduces the overall UPS system footprint. The standalone cabinet can be placed directly against the wall as only front access is needed, further saving space and making maintenance straightforward.

“PremiumTower can be also paralleled to provide either additional power capacity or N + X redundancy,” continues Elms. “In addition, its best-in-class, on-line operating efficiency of 96.6% in online double conversion mode, minimises running costs and reduces Total Cost of Ownership.”

Elms concludes: “We are delighted to be nominated for this product innovation award and believes it underlines our continued commitment to delivering the best power protection solutions available to the industry.”

The overall winners of the Tomorrow’s FM awards will be announced in in mid-March 2020.
