Sharp-shooter Ian Dando hit bullseye at the inaugural Electrical Design and Installation expo (ED&I) when he beat world-class British darts player Mark Dudbridge in a 501/301 competition hosted by Marshall-Tufflex on its stand.

Earlier in the year the market-leading cable management manufacturer announced its sponsorship of Mark and the opportunity for visitors to ED&I to play against him; Mark was tasked with scoring 501 and all-comer opponents 301.

Many stepped up to take the challenge but Ian Dando, of Dando Testing in Southampton, was the only competitor to beat Mark, bagging himself a Virgin Experience Day.

“Our darts challenge proved really popular with visitors to the exhibition and was great fun,” said Marshall-Tufflex UK Sales Director Jon Chamberlain. “Mark is a terrific player and many people were keen to step up to the oche and take him on but only Ian proved to have the skill on the day to beat him in our challenge.”

Marshall-Tufflex also used the event to talk about product launches, including its new Wire Basket with Cablelay, the underfloor-to-desk range, its special edition 75th Anniversary catalogue and a full range of PVC-U, steel and aluminium trunking solutions.
