A new range of non-metallic enclosures has been introduced by HellermanTyton which incorporate a variety of materials and IP ratings. First in the range is the CA range of reinforced polyester Polyamide 66 thermoplastic enclosures at a rating of IP65. Suitable for dusty and damp conditions, the enclosure is resistant to water and chemicals, and has a high mechanical resistance to impacts.

The CA range is also available with a transparent or opaque lid, ensuring electrical engineers and contractors can assess the system inside before opening the enclosure.

Alternatively there is the BRES range of wall mounting glass fibre polyester enclosures, which are rated IP66, making them well suited for mounting electrical or electronic equipment in aggressive environments, where polyester offers a high quality solution with a prolonged life span. The colour of the enclosures is RAL7035, which is now the industry standard for enclosure systems.

Completing the new suite of enclosures is the ART range of fibreglass reinforced polyester, offering protection at an IP rating of 43. Resistant to corrosion, the ART range offers flexibility as it can be floor, wall or base mounted.

All the enclosures are manufactured from self extinguishing material, thus reducing the risk of fire. In addition, the use of polyester as opposed to steel makes them lightweight and easier to install.

The BRES and CA ranges of enclosures operate in temperature ranges of between -30°C up to 120°C, while the ART range performs in temperatures of -20°C up to 120°C.

Accessories include metallic and non-metallic mounting plates, including wall fixing lugs, screws and vent devices.
