Modular equipment housing specialist Portastor will be exhibiting at Railtex 2015 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham from 12th – 14th May.

Yorkshire-based Portastor designs, manufactures, installs and commissions bespoke modular substations, signalling and communications equipment buildings manufactured to meet Network Rail quality standards. The company works with many technology providers on next generation solutions for Britain’s rail network.

One of the UK’s leading rail events, Railtex attracts some of the best-known companies serving the country’s rail market. Portastor will be exhibiting alongside many of its existing clients; current contracts include the design and delivery of modular equipment housings for major electrification programmes including the Great Western Electrification Project (GWEP), the East Coast Mainline overhead electrification programme, and Crossrail.

Throughout the 3-day event Portastor will be located at stand R66.

Portastor CEO David Jennings said: “Our experienced team of engineers continues to develop ideas for equipment housing solutions, and we are looking forward to showcasing our expertise and manufacturing capabilities at what promises to be a busy Railtex exhibition.

“Our tried and tested ‘plug and play’ equipment housing solutions offer whole life cost savings of up to 20% compared with traditional build solutions, and the fact that they can be quickly installed and commissioned is an important consideration for time-critical projects, which is particularly relevant to the UK’s rail sector.”
