Power protection expert Riello UPS will today (Wednesday, March 11th) officially launch its new product at leading trade show Data Centre World 2015.

Designed to achieve the highest levels of power and performance in the datacentre environment, the Multi Power UPS from Riello is a modular, three-phase double conversion uninterruptible power supply system, scalable for any business requirements.

The new product offers the maximum in availability, scalability, reliability and serviceability whilst also providing high efficiency and low cost of ownership.

Space within a datacentre is a key consideration and the exceptional power density of 400kW/m2 makes the Multi Power a leader in its field. Using up to 28 power modules of 42kW each, the Multi Power gives complete scalability from 42kW to 1176kW.

It also maintains high efficiency in online mode operation of up to 96.5 per cent even at low loads of 20 per cent. The Multi Power UPS demonstrates how high levels of resilience can easily be achieved and still be affordable with N+2 redundancy.

A sophisticated connectivity panel on the front allows full status visibility of the UPS modules and battery. Maintenance is also simpler as the units can be accessed from the front of the system and the modules are hot-swappable, reducing any maintenance related downtime.

Leo Craig, general manager of Riello UPS Ltd said: “The modern datacentre not only has to ensure constant availability but also has to meet a number of other driving factors such as carbon reduction and profitability targets. At Riello, we took this on board and set a mission to develop an outstanding modular solution which is perfect for meeting the power demands of the modern datacentre.

“We’ve designed certain power components ourselves to ensure the very best operational reliability of the product which will protect the most critical IT load and any mission critical applications. The Multi Power is one of our most advanced products and we’re confident it can be placed at the top of the class as one of the most innovative and resilient modular power solutions available on the market today.”

Multi Power meets the VFI-SS-111 classification defined by international standard IEC EN 62040-3.
