Doubling in size from last year’s event, Energy 2016 boasts an impressive line up of industry leading exhibitors. Taking place at the Birmingham NEC from October 18 – 20, the show is not to be missed by anyone in the industry

Ranking amongst the top six power companies in the country, Scottish Power provides over five million households and businesses across the UK with power and will bring its wealth of expertise to this year’s event. With over a hundred years experience there are few companies who understand the energy sector better.

One company making ground-breaking steps in the energy sector is Pavegen. The company delivers an innovative underfoot, kinetic off-grid energy solution that converts footsteps into power and has to be seen to be believed. Excitingly, the company will be unveiling the latest iteration of its technology, known as V3, at this year’s event. What’s more, Pavegen technology will be integrated into the flooring of Smart Buildings 2016 with the resultant energy used to power the rest of the event.

Another company attempting to redefine the way we think about energy is RES Limited, a leading independent renewable energy provider. The company will be showcasing its expertise in developing, engineering, constructing, financing and operating projects around the world.

Working on breakthrough innovation with a host of high profile companies, Flexisolar is widely considered a leader in the field of solar technology. With nearly 25 years of expertise in steel structures and with over 2,500 successful installations nationwide the company specialises in the integration of solar panels and carport installations of over 500 spaces or 1MW at less than £1/W.

Christopher Jackson, Director at Flexisolar commented: “We have chosen to exhibit at Energy 2016 because of the show’s unique co-location within UK Construction Week, bringing together energy, infrastructure utilities and the built environment. UK Construction week embodies today the joined up thinking that we need in order to develop the integrated solutions of tomorrow. The event is a key date in our annual sales and marketing strategy and continues to deliver.”

Uniting all the key business players in the industry, such as architects, project and energy managers, engineers and developers, Energy 2016 will provide a perfect platform to bring together the sector and the wider interconnected industries. Over 8,500 industry professionals attended last year’s event and with a programme of high-profile speakers, seminars, CPD workshops and a hosted buyers programme, this year’s event is not to be missed.

Some of the other exhibitors already signed up to the show include British Gas, Minus7 and Clean Power Solutions (CPS). Marc Stanton, Commercial Director of CPS Group, said: “The ability of any company to control its energy costs is vital to its financial viability. Clean Power Solutions can even produce the fuel for your delivery vehicles in the form of Hydrogen made from rainwater from your roof. Energy 2016, as part of UK Construction Week, is the ideal place for us to bring our solutions to the attention of the movers and shakers in the industry.”

Nathan Garnett, Show Director at Media 10 – the organisers of Energy 2016 and UK Construction Week, concluded: “With so many big names attending from across the full spectrum of the energy sector – including renewables, energy storage, EV and more – this year’s show is going to be an unmissable occasion. The energy sector continues to evolve with new business opportunities constantly being created. Energy 2016 will give exhibitors and attendees an opportunity to unite and forge new partnerships. Registration is open for visitors now and we still have some space left for exhibitors so don’t miss out and get in touch soon to avoid being disappointed.”
