Test instruments manufacturer, Kewtech Corporation, has launched a new range of non-contact voltage detectors that comply with safety standard BS EN 61010 CAT IV 600V and use Die Bond Chip technology.
The Kewstick Duo is audible with bi-colour LEDs – when the On/Off switch is pressed a green LED illuminates and steadily flashes with a regular bleep to confirm that the power is on and correctly working. A flashing red LED and double warning tone indicates that volts are present.
In addition, a Sensitivity Attenuation Button can be held down to reduce the sensitivity of the Voltage Detection System. This feature is useful for tracing or identifying live conductors in bunched or crowded cables.
